On behalf of the Oak Bay Police Department I would like to welcome you to our homepage. The Oak Bay Police Department was established in 1906 and although small we take great pride in delivering a level of police service specifically geared to the citizens we serve. The members of the Oak Bay Police Department are committed to a professional, consultative, caring and responsive service delivery. Our delivery model involves working closely with the community, its many volunteers and a philosophical approach which engages the community to identify and address issues of concern. The citizens of our community actively engage with the police and allows the Oak Bay Police Department to deal effectively with crime and quality of life issues. Although the community of Oak Bay enjoys one of the lowest crime rates in British Columbia and perhaps right across Canada the members of the Oak Bay Police Department are mindful that in order to maintain such an enviable position we must continue in our efforts to be inclusive with the citizens we serve.
